If your child is interested in
delving deeper into gardening, the Rowayton Library is proud to host a Junior
Master Gardener program.
Meetings will occur on
Wednesdays for April and May.
We will be following the text
Literature in the Garden. There is also a required community service
requirement.
This is an accredited program,
therefore attendance is mandatory.
The
eight sessions will include topics such as:
Soil
Botany
Garden
safety rules
Recycling
and the Environment
The food
web
Cultivation
Upon completing all topics
children will be eligible for a certificate in Literature in the Garden.
Due to the technical nature of
the program, it is recommended for children in grades 3 and above.
Classes
will meet on the following days at 3:30pm at the Rowayton Library:
April
3rd, 10th and 24th
May 1st,
8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th.

The program is offered free of
charge. In order to offer this program, we need a minimum of eight children,
but there is room for up to twelve students. Registration is on a first come,
first served basis. The program will only run if we have pre-registration of 8
or more children. So, if you have an interested child, please register
