Shakespeare for Kids, Wednesday, June 5 @ 3:30pm

Join Shakespeare on the Sound teaching artist Jo Anne Parady at the Rowayton Library to learn about the plot and characters from "As You Like It"! Children ages 4+ are perfect for this interactive workshop that gets everyone on their feet, utilizing their voices and bodies and getting to know the wonderfully comedic characters of 'As You Like It'! Jo Anne Parady, actress and writer, is currently working with the Theatre Artists Workshop in Norwalk.  She has directed many plays at the Workshop for their Playwrights Festival and Classic Night series, and produced “Othello” at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in which she also played Emilia. She is a writer/performer in MOMOIRS:  THE UMBILICAL CORD STOPS HERE, which has been performed in and around Fairfield County and at the Zipper Theatre in NYC as part of the Mamapalooza Festival. She has a long list of regional theatre credits including National Shakespeare Company (NYC), Theatre at Monmouth (ME), Champlain Shakespeare Festival (VT), St. Alban’s Repertory Theatre (DC) and Shakespeare on the Sound (CT). Jo Anne is a member of AEA and AFTRA, former President of the Theatre Artists Workshop.  This program is free and open to the public.
