Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’ 109th
Birthday at the Rowayton Library, Saturday, March 2 with activities all morning
long… stories, crafts, treats… for kids of any age… from 10am-Noon.
And, in the
afternoon it is LegoTime. From Noon-3pm,
explore the world
of building with Legos® for Kids ages 6 and up @ the Rowayton Library on the
first Saturday of each month. This
program is a Lego® building/creations workshop where children can work alone or
in teams and build a creation based on their imagination and the "Theme of
the Month." This is an open session (from noon to 3pm) where your child
can build for a few minutes to a few hours.
When your child is done building, we will take a picture of their
creation for "the Archives."
Then, please dismantle the creation and put the bricks back in the
storage bins. The Lego® bricks are the property of the Rowayton Library and
will not be distributed at the end of the program.
And, all day
long (from 10am-2pm), you are invited to have a Child Identification Card made
for your child for your safekeeping.
Parents can bring their children to be photographed and fingerprinted
and take away Child Identification Cards for their family records. This program
is sponsored by New York Life Insurance Company: The Company You Keep®. No reservation is necessary.
These programs are free
and open to the public. Parents or
caregivers are required to stay in the library during the events for
participants under the age of 8. For
more information, please call the Library at (203) 838-5038 or visit us on the
web at www.Rowayton.org.
