Great Decisions

Great Decisions begins Wednesday, January 22 at 7pm (meeting every other week at same time).

Great Decisions is America's Largest discussion program on world affairs. This program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year. This year topics and corresponding discussion dates are below:

Business & Bagels Series: Keeping Your Business Afloat - Thursday, January 30 - 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

SCORE Fairfield County is co-sponsoring with the Rowayton Library a free Business & Bagels workshop.

The event's speaker is Rick Brooks, owner and president of USAR in Greenwich. Brooks is a member of the American Society of Contingency Planners and the Northeast Disaster Recovery Group. He is well-acquainted with local emergency resources and will be reviewing considerations for an emergency contingency plan, practical implementations for business owners and simple steps that are often overlooked.

SCORE Fairfield County will also sponsor a drawing for a free one year subscription to Entrepreneur Magazine.

A light breakfast will be provided, courtesy of the Rowayton Library.

Nancy Jo and Erik Rambusch were the lucky winners of the Goodwives Quilters' Art Quilt.

Diane and Tom Glover were excited to take home the hooked rug from the Goodwives Rug Hooking Group.

Write or Draw Your Dream on Martin Luther King Day - Monday, January 20 - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The library is open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday, January 20th, Martin Luther King Day.

All ages are invited to come to the library and share your favorite or most inspiring dream in honor of Martin Luther King Day.

Whether you are a writer or an artist, craft a project that shows your dreams.

Movie Matinee for Kids - Epic - Monday, January 20 - 2 p.m.

A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group of characters in order to save their world.

Rated PG. 108 minutes.
